Overview of Physical Therapy

What is physical therapy ?

It is one of the supportive medical branches, means using a whole technique to protect and diagnose, treat problems and movement disorder, and pathological conditions using different treating exercises and physical methods.

Who is the physiotherapist?

 Is a person who holds a Bachelor or Master or PhD or Diploma (minimum ) In physical therapy, and this does not include a certificate of no physical therapy, although he is a doctor,

Unlike doctor or surgeon who may only meet the patient once or twice a physic therapist   keeps meeting with the patient repeatedly  as long as the sessions occur so he must be friendly, supportive and aware of several methods to deal with different types of people

Eyes:

Where delicate noticing and good examination leads a physical therapist to efficient treatment

How can a physical therapist benefit me ?

A physic therapist main role is contributing protection diagnoses and evaluating in each of :

ü      Problems / Diseases of the respiratory muscle  system (bones, joints, spine, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, muscles).

ü      Problems / Diseases of the nervous system (brain and spinal cord and nerves).

ü      Problems / Diseases of vasc ularsystem  (heart, veins and arteries).

ü      Problems / Diseases of the respiratory system  (lungs, bronchial and respiratory muscles).

ü      Problems / Diseases of older persons.

ü      Problems / Diseases of children.

In addition to his role in rehabilitation before and after surgical operations :

ü      Rehabilitation of fractures.

ü      Rehabilitation before and after the amputations.
